About Me
I’m Katharina — a UX and visual designer with a background in architecture.
I work at the intersection of systems, aesthetics, and accessibility. I love designing tools that are usable and honest — and I care deeply about helping people feel at home in unfamiliar spaces.
What I Care About
Designing for inclusion, especially for those who might feel left out — I also look for the quiet ones.
Working with language and code — I speak German, English, and Polish, and I’m fluent in Figma, HTML/CSS, JS, and comfortable with Python and prompt design.
Balancing emotion and clarity — I think a good interface doesn’t just function; it feels like someone thought of you.
What I’m Working On
Right now, I’m designing a museum app that helps people feel welcomed — regardless of whether they consider themselves “art people.”
I’m also building a vegan platform and experimenting with tools for visualizing machine learning flows.
Background
My design journey started in architecture — I studied at the Technische Universität Braunschweig and worked on large-scale spaces like showrooms and HQs. That’s where I learned to think structurally, visually, and empathetically — and I bring those skills into every interface I design.
